Original Post on Raised Rowdy Click Here By Chris Yow Staff Writer Mark Addison Chandler has made a name for himself in some pretty popular songwriting circles. He is a regular at the Music Row Freakshow, held at Winner’s Bar every Wednesday, and also...
Mark was born into a North Carolina family of Southern Gospel singers. Mark’s music is unmistakably country but gospel harmonies and his dad’s classic country records are at the core of his sound. Mark was on the church stage from four through his teens years. His dreams of Nashville would wait as he joined the Army after High School.
During his early years in the Army, Mark had the opportunity to perform for three presidents while attending West Point. The demands of the Army due to the War on Terror prevented Mark’s pursuit of music for most of his military career, but in the final two years of his career, Mark began writing songs and reconnected with his musical roots. In 2014 and 2015, he wrote and recorded his debut album that he released in Apr 2015. During this period he performed Texas venues to include the legendary Rosa’s Cantina in El Paso, TX.

Mark also cowrote the first single off Spencer Crandall’s current record that debuted #1 on iTunes in Mar 2018. Mark also cowrote Josh Gallagher’s latest single “How Bout You”. The video reached #1 on CMT’s 12-pack countdown in Mar 2018.
